- Since 2018, Alpharetta has been an International Baccalaureate World School authorized to offer the Diploma Programme to eligible Juniors and Seniors.
- The U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools 2023-24 Report ranked AHS: Top 400 Nationally, #7 in Metro Atlanta, and #10 in Georgia.
- The Washington Post Challenge Index ranks AHS as one of the top 400 most rigorous high schools in the nation.
