The arts programs of AHS were the first of all school programs to achieve national ranking. With both students and staff nationally recognized for their excellence, our fine arts programs has increased 400% since the opening of our school in 2004.

  • The AHS band program has 220 members, which means it serves more than 1 out of every 10 students at AHS.  
  • The nationally recognized Alpharetta High School orchestra program has swelled to accommodate four orchestras and has around two hundred members. 
  • The Alpharetta High School Chorus program offers four different opportunities for learners. 
  • Our visual arts department is equally strong. Over 800 classroom seats were allotted to visual arts. AP Art History has become a highly sought course, growing to require four teachers to meet the demands of student interest. 
  • In the area of video arts, AHS had the highest number of Outstanding Achievement awards in the State of Georgia Media Festival held in 2014 – with 12 winning projects overall.
