AHS places the highest value on teaching and encouraging our young people to give back to others. Service Cord and other service programs allow AHS students to contribute to make our school, community, nation and world a better place!
Help secure a firm foundation for our students.

  • AHS students are encouraged to learn about and contribute to school and community through service. 
  • AHS students contribute more than 20,000 hours of service annually.
  • Several Honors Clubs are available with a service component such as tutoring and/or helping beautify campus. 
  • Several additional Service Clubs provide fun opportunities locally, such as Silver Raiders and the Environmental Club.  
  • Every student accruing and verifying 100 volunteer hours in their senior year is eligible for a Community Service Honor Cord at graduation.
